#1: Performance Issues after a major patch are EXPECTED. Anyone surprised is a moron. CCP will do what they've done for years: Fix it. Might be same day, might take weeks. Deal with it or quit (stuff?).
#2: Aurum prices: No one cares on the CONDITION that Aurum only affacts 'bling'.
#3: Introducing CQ is an excellent baby step. Forcing it at this stage is 'unwise'.
A comment on aurum: It would be insanely stupid to expand CCP's RMT (PLEX) in ways that do NOT directly attack illegal RMT. The LIMITED tolerance for CCP's RMT (PLEX) that exists is due ENTIRELY to the common hate of 'professional gold farmers'. If you expand CCP RMT in a way that is NOT a CLEAR attack on 'professional gold farmers', it will go badly.

Current System:
If you buy uber elite modules and ships in game, even if you use Isk from PLEX sale, at some point, a PLAYER had grind out that Isk you are spending, and PLAYER had to hunt down and kill that officer for that drop.
AUR system:
Stuff appears out of thin air in exchange for RL cash, no PLAYER EFFORT involved ANYWHERE.
